Harry turned 14!
My boys birthdays are 3 weeks apart so June and the beginning of July are always busy and packed with something for us to do.
Our tradition for Harry's birthday is to go to Jimmy's Farm. However, the weather was awful this year so we have delayed that for later this year.
Instead we had a chilled day in on his actual birthday, including visits from my mum and dad, and then got a Chinese takeaway (Harry's choice) in the evening.
Instead of birthday cake I bought 5 cookies from a local business. Oh my goodness, they were AMAZING! Definitely something I'm going to purchase again.
On the Sunday we went over to Norwich, got some lunch and went to a Retro Gaming Centre. It was just ok. Maybe something more for people my age. We still had a good time though.
Charles' Prom!
With Charles coming to the end of his school life it was time for prom! No, I was not ok. It was the moment I realised things were going to really change, that my son is now a young man.
I'd love to say Charles enjoyed himself at prom, he didn't, he said it was boring. HOWEVER, he DID enjoy the car I managed to get for him to drive him to the venue.
Rocky Horror!
A long time ago I would go to the theatre quite regularly with my mum. One show I'd never seen (and to be honest wasn't too bothered about) was Rocky Horror Show...however...Jason Donovan IN Rocky Horror Show...YES!!
As a 90's girl there was no way I was going to pass up on the chance of seeing it.
Did I enjoy it? Yes! Did I cry when Jason Donovan first came on stage? Yes! Do I know what was actually going on in a lot of the theatre show? No. It was very random however very entertaining.
