5 Books of 2025 - Part 2

I started the year really well with 5 books read by February 12th.
Book 6 was read by the 18th of February. And then....I didn't really pick up any books. I tried but it felt like a chore. And my belief is that if something feels like a chore then it's not a hobby I should do at that time so I stepped back and thought I'll pick the books up when I have the urge to do so again.

VerityVerity by Colleen Hoover My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness! This was INCREDIBLE!!
I struggled at first with the length of the chapters, only because I like short ones but this was so worth continuing with.
There was one thing that has bothered me (not going to do a spoiler though) despite that playing on my mind this book is fantastic and is one of the best books I’ve ever read.

The CrashThe Crash by Freida McFadden
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ok so this wasn’t my favourite, would have given it 3.5 stars but it’s not an option! Itkept me hooked, was an easy read, good ending but it missed a bit of the suspense I tend to like about Freidas books and I’d guessed the twist (first time I’ve guessed one!)
A little bit repetitive but still a good book.

Always Winning: The inspirational memoir and guide to life from the award-winning star of ADOLESCENCE and TOP BOYAlways Winning: The inspirational memoir and guide to life from the award-winning star of ADOLESCENCE and TOP BOY by Ashley Walters

The Let Them TheoryThe Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Do Not DisturbDo Not Disturb by Freida McFadden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was gripping, to the point I read it in in one day BUT it is the first of Freida's books that I’ve been able to predict which was a little disappointing.
