Happy Sunday | Week Twenty One

Whether or not you think Sunday is the end of the week, or the beginning of a new one, I thought it would be a nice idea to look back on the week that has just past and to look at the things that have made me happy and made me smile.
I think it can be easy to look back on a hard week and miss out on those things. A week of bad weather for example can really make it seem as though the whole week was a complete fail. But it probably wasn't. We must all smile at least once a day. I know I do, even if I forget it.

Things that made me happy this week:

Girl time

This week I got to spend some time with one of my favourites, Hayley from Shutterflies. I took the boys on a road trip to visit Hayley and her family. It was lovely just being normal friends just watching tv together and being mums together and not just friends who keep in touch via some form of technology.

Fiesta

It would be fair to say I felt my heart drop when I was informed on Saturday that my MOT was due and therefore I wouldn't be able to take my car on the road trip. I'd planned this trip for ages, I had packed and mentally prepared myself. Within no time at all the boys dad was telling me to hurry as we had to go and pick up a car he had hired me for 5 days.

Wanted

Harry has been a bit poorly this week with a chesty cough. I knew at some point that it would make him sick and as I write this it is 3am on Saturday and I am sat on a duvet and pillow snuggle area i have created on his floor. The inevitable happened and we have gone through 3 bedding by changes. As much as I hate the boys being poorly I can't help but to feel a bit of comfort from the fact that he *needs* me. Ok, I will probably get 0 hours sleep but knowing that I stayed awake all night to nurse a poorly boy is totally worth it.

Mollie Makes Blogging

Hayley let me have a browse through her Mollie Makes Blogging magazine whilst I had my coffee one morning. I instantly loved it and felt inspired. £10 is a little more than what I would usually spend but I felt like it was a good investment...if I could find a copy. I ended up getting a digital copy (same price) via the Zinio app. It's just as good and issuing my Kindle version means I can make notes on each page. I really like the magazine so far and would recommend it.

Waiting and Welcoming

My nanny, aunty and uncle are here to stay for a week and I am SO excited. They haven't seen Harry since he was a new born and Charles since he was 2 so it's very exciting and also emotional. We have some lovely things planned next week so we hope the weather will be kind to us.
They have rented a lovely little cottage/villa near the sea and we were the welcome committee yesterday. Whilst we waited for them to arrive Charles was cycling all around the little complex. I was amazed at his confidence and at how quickly he managed to learn how to ride a bike without stabilisers.
